 | | Words from Clyde Larrabee
It seems to be getting to that time of year where the rut routine is kicking in as all Texans get ready for what promises to be another memorable summer...swimming holes, baseball, school ending, Vacation Bible School, and HOT weather...
The one thing that is a danger to keeping fresh with God is routine. We become so much creatures of habit that any shift or change is fought. Getting into the habit of missing worship (in favor of sleeping in or some other diversion) is just as dangerous as coming to church and missing WORSHIP.
It is about Him. Not about hymns. Or the him in the next pew over.
I know my easiest routine is sometimes the least profitable to God. I want to stay fresh. That means coming to Him each day asking for new, fresh marching orders designed for that day. My hope is that you are seeking out those same orders in your life each day...it makes worship a vital, fresh engagement every Sunday...in fact, everyday.
See you in worship,
Aye, Clyde
